Facilitating individuals living with disability in rural Kenya
The main goal of this fundraising initiative is to help the Disability Service Programme in Kenya to establish financial independence. Although this is a long term goal and will likely require continued support, the DSP founder and coordinator, Mr. Okidi, has long understood that external funding is not the answer.
The specific projects outlined in our fundraising goals are highly feasible and tangible. Funds raised will be put toward these projects first and foremost to gain a strong foothold toward achieving sustainability.
All donated funds go directly to our cause, minus banking and transaction fees.
Successfully establishing longevity for the DSP ensures the existence of a placement site for Canadian physiotherapy and occupational therapy students where valuable life experiences can be gained. The majority of these students will go on to practice in Canada upon graduation with an enriched education.
